Change in management / Dr. Sandra Teuber leaves the Geopark

In front of the winterly Achtopf near Schelklingen, Ulrich Ruckh (Geopark Chairman) said goodbye to Dr. Sandra Teuber today and presented her with a package of Swabian delicacies. Since 1 July 2021, she has headed the Geopark office in Schelklingen and represented the Swabian Alb Geopark in the international network of 177 UNESCO Global Geoparks. She will leave the Geopark at the end of January 2023. "Thank you very much for your huge commitment, drive and perseverance in advancing key Geopark issues. Your enthusiasm for sustainability has been a decisive impulse for the many stakeholders in the Swabian Alb and has prepared the ground for future projects," said Ulrich Ruckh.

Dr. Sandra Teuber will stay with the topic of sustainability. She is looking forward to her new tasks and stated: "The work in the Geopark was very enriching. In particular, networking with the other UNESCO Geoparks worldwide and with the many partners in the Swabian Alb was a lot of fun. It was great to work with so many people from different regions on the common goal of sustainable regional development."
