GeoBerlin / Die deutschen Geoparks präsentierten sich

The presentation of the Geoparks at the annual conference of the German Geological Society (DGGV) from September 4 to 7, 2023, at the premises of Freie Universität Berlin was well received. For the 175th anniversary event, 840 participants had registered in advance. The eighteen German Geoparks were represented with the exhibition booth, with information material as well as an exhibition.

In addition to panels, a large map of Germany showed the outlines of the geoparks and the location of the 30 outcrops recorded as part of the 30 Geotopes3 project. The latter were marked with a picture at the edge of the map, provided with a QR code to the respective 3D model. Some of the models were printed out on a 3D printer, lovingly hand-colored and placed at the respective location on the map.
