New chair of the advisory board / Prof Dr Heidi Megerle takes over

New chair of the advisory boardOn 15 November, Prof Dr Heidi Megerle was unanimously elected as chair of the advisory board of the UNESCO Global Geopark Swabian Alb. She replaces Prof Dr Roman Lenz (University Nürtingen-Geislingen) with immediate effect. He had held this office since 2012. Prof Dr Megerle (University Rottenburg) had already been deputy chairwoman of the advisory board for many years.

Unfortunately, Roman Lenz was unable to attend the meeting due to illness. Ulrich Ruckh (chairman of the geopark) took the opportunity to thank both for their commitment and scientific support for the geopark.
